On the first Friday of every month, Gallery 2453 previews a new collection. Join us for a glass of wine and an opportunity to meet our members. Normally, our exhibitions present the work of our members, but the April Exhibition is more a museum display showing aspects of the cultural life of the Plateau. The exhibition places the Arts Council in its wider community and historical context. The exhibition complements the Creative Mountain Arts Exhibition running in the Community Hall, 13-23 April.

Celebrate Twelfth Night at Gallery 2453! There’ll be a Twelfth Night King and Queen: you’ll get a paper crown and a prize if you win the door prize, and everyone will be supposed to bow to your regal splendour! (We might skip on rushing about the town in masks, cracking whips and playing bagpipes to drive out the evil spirits.) There's also an ancient custom of cross-dressing on Twelfth Night (hence the confusions in Shakespeare’s play), so dare to dress up! Drinking wassail (mulled cider) is another custom for the evening. Please bring a plate of something yummy to share.
At our AGM, vote for our new committee, hear reports from all our sub-committees and groups, and find out plans for the year ahead. Membership and nomination forms are available at Gallery 2453.
