This Saturday (30 June), Waterfall Way Gallery opens next door to us at 57 Hickory Street, Dorrigo. Drop in during the Dorrigo Community Markets to view an exhibition of ten prints by Tone Wieruszewski. Lyrebird Dreaming was first exhibited at the Sydney Opera House in 1985. Inspired by Japanese brush painting, the prints are complemented by a display of kimono, origami, and bonsai. More details are available on our What's On page.
Named after the post code of The Dorrigo Plateau, Gallery 2453 is a showcase for work by Plateau artists and artisans. Exhibitions include paintings, glassware, photographs, prints, jewellery, cards, woodwork, and sculpture. The selection changes monthly and all works are for sale.
The May-June Exhibition (closing 4pm, 3 July) features works by Susan Allom, Caroline Allshorn, Robert Bice, Di Clark, Peter Clark, Connie Crane, Katiuska Cruz, Christine Dustin, Chris Moore, John Newstead, Jenny Parkin, Richard Rees, Louise Stanton, and Stephen Viola.
Drop in to look around and chat: our members volunteer to staff the gallery, and when you visit, you may well find one with paint-brush or pen in hand. Feel free to ask our members for a short guided tour of the works on display, and pick up this month’s listing for details about the artists and works being exhibited.
To find us, turn north at the Monument (turn right if you're driving up from Coffs Harbour).
